Ele is going to be one next Monday. I'm in shock just a little. I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. She is walking some...a little bit from furniture to furniture and Mom to Dad and back. She walked to Trupie a few times, but they both fell over and she didn't like that. I think it makes Trupie sad that she won't walk to him. But she does LOVE her brother! She wants to do everything he is doing. She shares his love for Dobi's (Trupie's jalapeno chips that for a while were the ONLY food *basically* that he would eat). She is getting bigger...we thought she'd slim down a bit with crawling and walking, but not so! She's up to 21 1/2 pounds now! I think she is 26 or 27" tall, I can't remember. She can sign a few things: "more", "all done", and she's getting "potty". She can say several words too. Yeah, "Inana" (I love you), Dad, Woah, Mom, Do (dog), Hi, Wow, I (ice), Nu-nu (nigh-nights), Bark, Girl, Kitty, All Done, and Do's (dobi's). She likes to go potty on her little potty. She is so smart! I don't think she'll be in diapers at her second birthday.
Trupie is doing great too. He is getting so tall! 39" I believe. And he's still a little chubby (gotta love the chub!), at 37 pounds. He talks...a LOT. Sings, runs, jumps, dances , and makes up stories. He loves going to the park with his daddy. And playing with Mom when Ele is asleep. He is growing a huge love for books now, and is constantly asking us to read to him. He LOVES his Veggie Tales still, and some other great movies too. He is so friendly when we are out, always introducing himself to other kids and wanting to play. He is shy around adults though and told us this weekend that he doesn't like other people. Sometimes adults are kind of scary and get right in face to talk to him. They mean well, and are being friendly, but they just crowd out his personal space a little too much for his comfort. He's a good guy, and loves everyone! And he prays for everyone that he can think of too. He's growing close to Jesus and its AMAZING to see. He's so thoughtful and compassionate and is already developing a great relationship with our AWESOME Lord and Savior.
